But now, the footwear is no longer confined to a leather upper and tyre sole but it comes in many different styles, materials and also known as Flip-Flop-Shoe, Kheri chappal, Kheri shoe, Charsadda chappal, Zalmi Peshawari chappal, Leather chappal, Peshawari chappal-shoe.
There Peshawari Chappals are part of South Asian Culture, Weddings, Eid, Diwali, and Christmas celebrations are taken incomplete with the addition of Peshawari Chappal into the attire. History:
Some of the historians narrate that it was first designed in the current design at the end of 19thCentury. Initially, it was worn by Khans (Tribal Leaders) Later it become part of the casual attire of Pushtoons. It is as famous in Afghanistan as in Pakistan. It was famous with Kameez shalwar till 1990 when famous cricketer turn politician Mr. Imran Khan appeared on a Television Interview with Peshawari Chappal along with a combination of Jeans / Denim pants in the last few years of his career. Later on, it becomes part of the normal attire of Pakistan with a viral effect. The Procedure of Making a Peshawari Chappal Includes in the first place it is calfskin cutting, then the sole-production handle which is made of a tyre. Sewing is finished by needle or machine. At long last, the fitting of the Peshawari chappal happens. The shoe takes its name from the city of Peshawar, where it originates. While chappal is the word for flip flops or sandals in Urdu, locals in Peshawar call the Peshawari Tsaplay
